100% Canadian made cotton cord has been hand dyed by the artist using ethically foraged Sumac, creating a soft brown colour. It is woven with the addition of natural coloured rope. The artist weaves hand dyed strips of hemp fabric throughout the basket to create texture and interest. The fabic is dyed using Logwood, Osage Orange and Sumac. The basket is sewn into shape using brown and yellow threads.
